The 17th Executive Meeting of JANE was held on May 26th.
First there was a post-event report on the New Economy Summit (NEST) 2017 held on April 6 and 7. This year’s NEST attracted a total of approximately 3,000 participants over the two days, with more than 50 globally-renowned innovators gathered as speakers. A number of notable guests including ministers and ambassadors also attended, and the event concluded with great success. We would like express our thanks to speakers, attendees and all those who supported the event.
This was followed by a brief presentation of the impact of JANE activities in the policy field, such as the inclusion of our recommended measures to boost real estate market in various government documents, and the incorporation of our FinTech recommendations in the economy ministry’s policy proposal “Fintech Vision” and in government growth strategies.
Works done by the JANE Project Teams have also produced tangible outputs and outcomes, including the philanthropy PT’s submission of the second set of proposals and presentation at a ruling party meeting, the issuing of concrete recommendations by the Digital First PT, organization of school visiting lectures by Building the Entrepreneurial Workforce PT, the launch of a new working group and presentations at government meetings by the education reform PT, the tourism-oriented nation PT’s publication of new policy proposal, and the issuing of new recommendations by the declining birthrate and population PT.
