On 27 April, Japan Association of New Economy (JANE) submitted a proposal titled “Towards realization of the world best class IT nation with utilization of My Number system” to Shunichi Yamaguchi, Minister in charge of Information Technology Policy, and Akira Amari, Minister in charge of Total Reform of Social Security and Tax, and others. The proposal is on making the best use of My Number identification system and new Law on Utilization of Information Technology.

[Outline of the Proposal]
JANE proposes following points to enable Japan to become the world best class IT nation.

1. Enactment of new Law on Utilization of Information Technology in order to realize IT based society
2. Preparation of concrete roadmap towards 2020 to make the best and full use of My Number identification system
3. Use of My Number identification system in the area of medical service, nursing care and healthcare services.
4. Smooth and wide spread of my number card to be used, and enhancing accessibility from smart devices
5. Promotion of IT related investment in order to achieve work efficiency and standardization (simple system and dissolve vender lock-in)
