JANE and OECD Hold Discussion on the Digitalization of SMEs
The Japan Association of New Economy (JANE) held a discussion on February 18, 2025, with the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities regarding the challenges and solutions for Japanese SMEs and entrepreneurs in adopting digital technologies. This meeting was conducted in conjunction with the visit of Director Lamia Kammal Chaoui, and four member companies from JANE participated, connecting with the OECD in Paris. (Participating companies: freee K.K., Bengo4.com,Inc. Money Forward, Inc., and Rakuten Group, Inc.)
The discussion covered topics such as cultural resistance to technology, the generational gap in digital literacy, and the necessity of government support for promoting digitalization among SMEs.
