MoU Signed with Entrepreneurship Vision “EVision”, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

On 24 September 2025, the Japan Association of New Economy (JANE) joined the “Japan–Saudi EXPO Investment Forum” at Expo 2025 Osaka and participated in the MoU ceremony with Entrepreneurship Vision (EVision), a Saudi non-profit dedicated to fostering startups.

EVision, founded in 2020 by H.R.H Prince Fahad under Vision 2030, helps entrepreneurs enter the Saudi market, build local networks, create international partnerships, and coordinate the dispatch and reception of economic missions.

The MoU ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Eng. Khalid A. Al-Falih (Minister of Investment), H.R.H Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Chairman of EVision), and Japan’s State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Yuichiro Koga, as EVision and JANE formally exchanged the agreement.

JANE’s 2024 visit to Riyadh(*), which included high-level discussions with the Assistant Minister for Investment, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s ambitious economic agenda. We were inspired by the scope of the Kingdom’s grand vision to diversify its economy away from oil dependence. Furthermore, we were stimulated by the forward-thinking policies and incentives designed to attract businesses and industries, including startups, from around the world.

JANE maintained consistent engagement through online meetings and workshops. This sustained interaction ultimately led to the conclusion of this significant MoU.

The timing of this MoU is particularly remarkable : it coincides with the 70th anniversary of Japan–Saudi diplomatic ties and the Expo 2025 in Osaka, just ahead of Riyadh’s turn as the next Expo host city.

We will keep building bridges between Japanese and Saudi entrepreneurs and deepening mutual understanding moving forward.
