1. Election Results and Expectations for Future Administration
As a result of this election, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has secured a decisive majority and the pre-election coalition is expected to continue. JANE expects the new administration to demonstrate strong leadership and use this opportunity to break through Japan’s economic stagnation. We hope that policy implementation will proceed with sufficient speed to compensate for any temporary delays caused by the election and deliver tangible results to citizens.

2. Realization of Japan Transformation
JANE advocates for JX (Japan Transformation), a vision to make Japan a country where people, knowledge and capital gather from around the world. We encourage the new administration to avoid short-term distribution policies and instead implement comprehensive reforms based on this core philosophy.

• Small Government and Strategic Tax Reform
The administration should aim for a “small government” by streamlining national operations through the use of AI and local government reform. In terms of taxation, to gather “people, knowledge, and capital” from around the world, priority should be given to reducing income and corporate taxes, which remain high by international standards rather than implementing consumption tax cuts without a clear strategy.

• Macroeconomic Stability and Curbing Unprincipled Short-term Distribution
Fiscal measures lacking a clear long-term strategy carry the risk of rapid yen depreciation, rising interest rates and accelerating inflation. From a macroeconomic perspective, the government should carefully consider market signals and strategically allocate resources to ensure sustainable national management.

• Regulatory and Institutional Reforms for the Digital Economy
The government should recognize that disruption caused by digitalization is inevitable and review existing regulations accordingly. At the same time, promoting Work Motivation Reform is essential to enable flexible working styles and foster innovation.

• Strategic Utilization of Global Talent
A nation with a declining population has no future. To put Japan back on a growth trajectory, we must strategically utilize global talent and link global expertise to the vitality of the Japanese economy.

3. Conclusion
As a business association, JANE will continue to adhere to the principle of “Give more authority to private sector”. We intend to cooperate closely with the new administration to address social challenges and contribute to the sustainable development of the Japanese economy.
