JANE signed the joint industry statement on G7 “Preparing for Jobs of the Future” Ministerial Meeting

Ahead of today’s G7 Meeting of Innovation and Employment Ministers, Japan Association of New Economy along with several other associations released a joint statement on one of the Canadian Presidency’s major themes for the G7 – preparing for jobs of the future. JANE and others urged leaders of the world’s largest economies to be forward-thinking in approaches to preparing the workforce, noting that technology and the internet provide increasing opportunities for businesses of all sizes. The letter encouraged G7 leaders to enable innovation in artificial intelligence to further economic growth and foster worker flexibility, while protecting consumers from any actual harm.
