Urgent Request to Fumio Kishida, Minister of Foreign Affairs

We hereby request the Japanese government to take the following measures based on humanitarian considerations in relation to President Trump’s executive order on immigration ban.

To grant permission to stay in Japan, after the process of immigration clearance, to employees of Japanese corporations and their group companies who are refused entry into the US as a consequence of the executive order. This is an emergency measure based on humanitarian considerations.
To consider taking the same measure with regard to refugees who are refused entry into the US due to the executive order.
